Work out what your course would actually cost

Comparing monthly plan prices against a per-seat authoring licence is the wrong frame. The number that matters is cost per finished course.

The comparison

What it replaces

A 40-slide course with 20 interactive activities plus planning is 50.5 credits. On the Growth plan that is roughly R1 111 in generation cost.

The comparison worth making is not against an authoring licence. It is against what an agency would charge to produce the same course when your source material is already approved: screens, interactions, QA and SCORM packaging at mid-market South African rates.

Pick a starting point, set the complexity, and compare the agency band against Kre8AI on the plan that covers your volume. That is the decision.

Pricing questions

What happens when we run out of credits?
Generation is blocked and you are told what you need. Nothing generates against a balance you do not have, so there is no surprise invoice at the end of the month. You can top up credits inside the app at your plan's per-credit rate. Editing, reviewing, exporting and publishing keep working.
Do unused credits expire?
Yes. Credits do not roll over. Each billing period starts with a fresh monthly allocation, and unused credits from the previous period expire.
Is there a free trial?
Yes for Starter, Growth and Scale: 14 days with 25 credits. You confirm a payment method to activate the trial, then billing starts after those 14 days unless you cancel. Enterprise customers talk to us for a sales-led pilot instead.
Which currencies do you support?
Prices are shown in ZAR for South Africa and in USD elsewhere. ZAR is the billed price. USD is derived at R17.00 per dollar and updated monthly. All card payments are processed in ZAR via Paystack. Enterprise quotes can be custom.
Is it priced per seat?
No — there is no per-seat charge for authors. Each plan includes a team size (Starter 5, Growth 20, Scale and Enterprise unlimited). If you need more authors, move up a tier rather than buying seats. Reviewers invited via secure link on Growth and above do not count against the team limit.
What is learner MAU and the AI coach?
Growth includes AI learner coach and course analytics for 10 monthly active learners (MAU); Scale includes 25. Learners can chat with the course using its content and sources, and you see where they struggle, where they spend time, and recommendations for updates. Starter is authoring-only. Need more MAU? Access bands start at R2 500 per 50 learners/month, without changing your authoring plan. Enterprise negotiates custom MAU.
What is Enterprise?
Custom credit volume, learner MAU, onboarding, and commercial terms. Use Talk to us on the pricing page — we run a pilot with your team rather than a self-serve checkout.

Not sure which plan fits? Neither are we, until we see the course.

Tell us on a 30-minute call what you want to build first, and we will tell you which plan covers it and what a pilot would look like.
