Build AI courses for Cornerstone

Cornerstone is built around the catalogue, compliance and reporting. It is not built to write your content. Kre8AI produces the course from your own documents with the evidence attached, and Cornerstone delivers it.

Cornerstone reads: SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 and AICC as online content in the catalogue.
Step one

Build the course, then export it

The course is built from your own documents and cannot be published until a person has approved it. What you end up with is a single zip file.

    Finish review and approve every module

    Publishing stays locked until each module is approved. That is deliberate: the export is the point where the course stops being a draft, and the audit trail records who approved what and when.

    Choose your package format

    SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 4th edition, xAPI, cmi5, or a standalone HTML file that runs with no platform at all.

    Download the zip

    One file, containing the course, its media, the manifest your LMS reads and the tracking bridge that reports progress back.

    Do not unzip it and do not rezip the extracted folder. An LMS reads the manifest at the root of the archive, and rezipping usually buries it one directory down.

Which format for Cornerstone

SCORM 1.2 to start. Move to SCORM 2004 4th edition if you need its completion states to drive certification or compliance rules.

xAPI and cmi5 ship as packaging. The player wires the SCORM tracking bridge rather than streaming live statements to an LRS, so if your reporting depends on a live statement flow, raise it before you start.

Step two

Import it into Cornerstone

The same package works in every platform that reads SCORM. These are the steps in Cornerstone's own vocabulary.

    Load the package as online content

    Cornerstone treats an imported SCORM archive as online content that then appears in the catalogue. Load the Kre8AI zip through your content loading tool as a new online course.

    Let the manifest populate the record

    The manifest supplies the title and structure. Correct the title and description to whatever your catalogue conventions require, since this is what learners search.

    Set availability and assignment

    Decide who can see it and how it is assigned, through availability rules, a learning assignment or a curriculum. Nothing reaches a learner until this is done.

    Test as a learner before you assign it

    Launch it from a test learner account and complete it end to end. Confirm the completion registers, because a course that plays but never records is the failure mode you want to find before a compliance deadline rather than after.

Cornerstone's administration has changed shape across releases and varies with how your tenant is configured, so the exact menu path to load content differs from tenant to tenant. Completion, score, interaction results and bookmarking are wired through the tracking bridge inside the package, so learners resume where they left off and your existing reports keep working.

Which source document and page each statement came from, the excerpt behind it, a confidence score, who approved each module and every AI-assisted action. An LMS proves somebody completed training. This proves the training was right.

Before you roll it out

What catches people out in Cornerstone

Loaded is not available

Content can sit in Cornerstone perfectly loaded and completely invisible, because availability is a separate decision from loading. This accounts for most reports of a failed import.

Compliance rules read completion, not content

Certifications and compliance rules act on the completion status the package reports. Get the completion behaviour right before you wire it into anything that expires or renews.

The catalogue record is your findability

Learners find a course through the catalogue record, not the package. Time spent on the title, description and keywords does more for uptake than anything inside the course.

Kre8AI and Cornerstone

Do we need a Cornerstone integration to use Kre8AI?
No. Kre8AI exports a standards-compliant SCORM package and Cornerstone imports online content. That path needs nothing connected between the two systems.
Has Kre8AI been tested in Cornerstone?
We do not publish a tested-platform list until we have genuinely tested against those platforms, and we are not going to claim one here. What we can tell you is that the export is standards-compliant, and you can download our sample package and load it into your own tenant to see for yourself before any commercial conversation.
Where does the audit trail live?
In Kre8AI. Cornerstone records that a learner completed a course. Kre8AI records which source document and page each statement came from, who approved it and what the AI did, which is the part an auditor asks about.
