Kre8AI
For accredited training providers

Your legacy curriculum is being rebuilt. The slow window closed on 30 June.

Kre8AI drafts learning material against your new occupational qualification structure at volume, with the design documentation and audit trail produced alongside it.

A dated, quantified deadline that has already passed

30 June 2026 was the hard cut-off for enrolling learners in legacy SETA programmes. Beyond it, only QCTO occupational qualifications attract SETA funding and full B-BBEE recognition. Legacy qualifications are reclassified as Category F, which means 25% of the course fee is claimable for a Black South African delegate instead of 100%.

Gazette 54858 on 17 June 2026 added transitional arrangements, but it was not a blanket reprieve. Of 1,475 pre-2009 qualifications past their registration end date, 630 received targeted extensions of between 6 and 24 months, and up to 36 months for regulatory unit standards. The rest were deregistered. Government has signalled there will be no further extensions. Learners enrolled before June 2024 must still complete by 30 June 2027.

For a provider, that is a curriculum rebuild across a portfolio, against a new three-part structure, on a clock. It is a volume problem before it is a quality problem, and volume is the part software can actually help with.

What actually goes wrong

The week we are describing

It is a portfolio, not a course

Rebuilding one qualification is a project. Rebuilding everything you are accredited to deliver, against knowledge, practical and work-experience components, is a programme you did not budget for.

Development cost comes straight off margin

Material development is not separately billable for most providers. Every day of design time is a day of delivery you did not sell.

Every client wants it in their own livery

The same underlying material has to ship looking like the client's, which usually means rebuilding decks rather than rebranding them.

The documentation burden is the hidden cost

Alignment evidence, assessment mapping and design rationale take as long as the material and are the first thing asked for.
Straight answers

What this audience asks us first

Does Kre8AI produce QCTO-accredited material?
No, and be sceptical of anyone who says their software does. We generate learning material from the documents you supply, with the design documentation and audit trail to support your submission. Accreditation is your process with the QCTO and your assessment quality partner. What we change is how long the material and its evidence take to produce.
Can I keep different clients' material separate?
Only by using separate organisations, which means separate subscriptions. Within one workspace there is no per-client access control, so anyone you invite can see everything in it. This is the most common reason a provider is not a fit for us yet, and we would rather establish it on the first call.
Can each client's courses carry their own branding?
Yes. Brand is applied per course version rather than per account, so one workspace can produce material in as many liveries as you have clients.
Our qualification got an extension. Is this less urgent?
Extensions run 6 to 24 months, and up to 36 for regulatory unit standards, and government has said there will be no more. An extension changes when you have to be ready, not whether. Check your specific qualification against the SAQA extension list rather than assuming either outcome.
