Build AI courses for Workday Learning
Workday Learning's strength is that it already knows your workforce. What it does not do is write your training. Kre8AI builds the course from your own documents with the evidence attached, and exports a package Workday can deliver.
Build the course, then export it
The course is built from your own documents and cannot be published until a person has approved it. What you end up with is a single zip file.
- 1
Finish review and approve every module
Publishing stays locked until each module is approved. That is deliberate: the export is the point where the course stops being a draft, and the audit trail records who approved what and when.
- 2
Choose your package format
SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 4th edition, xAPI, cmi5, or a standalone HTML file that runs with no platform at all.
- 3
Download the zip
One file, containing the course, its media, the manifest your LMS reads and the tracking bridge that reports progress back.
Do not unzip it and do not rezip the extracted folder. An LMS reads the manifest at the root of the archive, and rezipping usually buries it one directory down.
Which format for Workday Learning
SCORM 1.2 unless your Workday administrators have specified otherwise. Confirm the supported version against your own tenant before you build a programme around it.
xAPI and cmi5 ship as packaging. The player wires the SCORM tracking bridge rather than streaming live statements to an LRS, so if your reporting depends on a live statement flow, raise it before you start.
Import it into Workday Learning
The same package works in every platform that reads SCORM. These are the steps in Workday Learning's own vocabulary.
- 1
Create the Workday Learning course
In Workday, a course is the container and lessons are what sit inside it. Create or open the course the material belongs to.
- 2
Add a lesson backed by the SCORM package
Add a lesson and choose the type that takes uploaded digital content rather than a video URL or an instructor-led session, then supply the Kre8AI archive.
- 3
Set how completion is recorded
Decide whether completion follows the status the package reports and confirm it is recorded against the worker, since that record is the reason the training exists.
- 4
Enrol a test worker and complete it
Run it end to end as a test worker before you assign it to anyone. Confirm both that it plays and that the completion lands on the worker record.
Workday Learning's supported SCORM behaviour and the exact lesson configuration depend on your tenant and release, and Workday's content handling is less forgiving than a general-purpose LMS. Treat the sequence above as the shape of the task and confirm the specifics with your Workday administrator. If it would help, we will do that with you rather than publish guesswork.
What Workday Learning sees, and what stays in Kre8AI
Worth being clear about, because the two answer different questions and only one of them satisfies an auditor.
