Built for the people who take the training
Staff and managers in South African organisations that submit a WSP/ATR or spend against a skills levy — not SETA administrators.
What learners leave able to do
- Explain the skills-development system in plain language
- Distinguish awareness e-learning from accredited skills programmes
- Submit training needs and completion evidence the way your process requires
- Avoid treating this library course as a SETA-accredited qualification
Modules you can expect
Structure may tighten when you localise from your own source pack in Kre8AI — this is the shape of the library title.
- 1The system in one picture
SETAs, levy, WSP and ATR without the jargon pile-up.
- 2What counts as training evidence
Attendance, completion, certificates.
- 3If you manage people
How team training needs reach the WSP.
- 4What this course is not
Not a learnership, not a unit standard, not a grant application.
- 5Knowledge check
Scored assessment for staff and managers.
Scored assessment. Explicitly not an accredited occupational qualification and not SETA grant training.
Written for the workplace, not for the statute book alone
Skills-development conversations in South Africa often skip from “we pay a levy” to “someone in HR files a WSP” with nothing in between for the people who actually attend courses. This module fills that gap: why the system exists, what a workplace skills plan is for, and why completion records matter.
Managers learn that informal on-the-job coaching is valuable and still is not always what the WSP can claim. Staff learn that finishing the LMS item is part of how the organisation accounts for training spend — including B-BBEE skills-development evidence, which is a reporting outcome, not a reason to fake a completion.
The course will not teach you to complete a SETA grant application or map unit standards. It will say plainly that Kre8AI library titles are awareness and induction, not occupational qualifications.
Generate from SDA extracts and your WSP process note in Kre8AI so SETA names and internal deadlines match. Export as SCORM or HTML. Re-export when your SETA or process owner changes.
Pair with B-BBEE staff awareness if people keep conflating the scorecard with the WSP. Keep the levy calculation with finance.

What you would upload in Kre8AI
SDA overview, your WSP / ATR process summary
- Skills Development Act and Skills Development Levies Act overviews
- A current SETA or DHET WSP/ATR guide (labelled as an example SETA if needed)
- Your internal WSP process summary for managers
Formats, coach and provenance
- Standalone HTML to play in the browser; SCORM 2004 for your LMS.
- Optional AI course coach on Growth and Scale — grounded in approved material; off on quizzes and final assessment by default. Course plays offline; coach needs a network.
- Built in Kre8AI and reviewed before we published it. Not a substitute for your organisation's own policy — review before you make it mandatory.
