Topics inside this course
Awareness and induction depth — not an accredited occupational qualification.
- Purpose of the EEA: unfair discrimination and redress
- Prohibited grounds in daily behaviour, not only in formal HR cases
- Consultation forums and why staff may be asked to take part
- Manager decisions on hiring, promotion and training must be defensible
- How this sits beside B-BBEE awareness — they are not the same course
Built for the people who take the training
All employees and line managers in South African organisations, especially designated employers preparing people to sit in consultation forums or make hiring and promotion decisions.
What learners leave able to do
- Explain why Employment Equity exists without reducing it to a slogan
- Recognise unfair discrimination in everyday comments, meetings and recruitment
- Know that consultation and an EE plan exist — and when to ask HR rather than invent a local rule
- Complete a short assessment suitable for induction records
Modules you can expect
Structure may tighten when you localise from your own source pack in Kre8AI — this is the shape of the library title.
- 1Why Employment Equity exists
Unfair discrimination and equitable representation in plain language.
- 2Everyday behaviour
Jokes, exclusion and informal recruitment comments.
- 3Plans and consultation
What an EE plan is, without teaching you to complete the forms.
- 4If you manage people
Decisions you must not take on a whim.
- 5Knowledge check
Short scored assessment for induction records.
Scored assessment for organisation-wide assignment. Not training on EEA2/EEA4 submissions or sectoral target arithmetic.
Written for the workplace, not for the statute book alone
Employment Equity training often either recites the Act or becomes a transformation speech with no workplace decisions attached. This course sits in the middle: why the law exists, which behaviours are out of bounds, and how designated employers already run consultation and planning — without turning every employee into an EE practitioner.
Staff learn that unfair discrimination is not only a formal grievance. It shows up in who gets invited, who gets stretch work, and what is said in a hiring debrief. Managers learn that “culture fit” is not a free pass, and that they should not invent local workarounds for an EE plan they have not read.
The 2025 regulations and sectoral numerical targets matter for designated employers. Learners need to know that targets and plans exist, not to memorise percentage tables that will change. Keep the arithmetic with HR and the EE committee.
It is not a B-BBEE scorecard course and not a substitute for consultation under the Act. Generate it in Kre8AI from the Act extracts and your staff FAQ so examples match your occupational levels and forums. Publish as SCORM or HTML.
Induction records help when an inspector or a consultation forum asks what people were told. A short completed awareness module is easier to defend than a slide deck that never left SharePoint. Re-export when your EE plan or the regulations change rather than leaving last year’s PDF in the LMS.

What you would upload in Kre8AI
Employment Equity Act extracts, EE policy
- Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998 as amended (selected sections)
- Current EE regulations and a plain-language note that sectoral targets exist for designated employers
- Your EE policy or staff FAQ — not the confidential EE report workings
Formats, coach and provenance
- Standalone HTML to play in the browser; SCORM 2004 for your LMS.
- Optional AI course coach on Growth and Scale — grounded in approved material; off on quizzes and final assessment by default. Course plays offline; coach needs a network.
- Built in Kre8AI and reviewed before we published it. Not a substitute for your organisation's own policy — review before you make it mandatory.
