Topics inside this course
Awareness and induction depth — not an accredited occupational qualification.
- Actual, potential, perceived
- Family, side businesses, shareholdings, reporting-line relationships
- Declare early; recuse
- Annual plus event-based declarations
- Not declaring is worse than having a conflict
Built for the people who take the training
All staff who can influence buying, hiring, grading or licensing; managers who hear about side businesses too late.
What learners leave able to do
- Recognise actual, potential and perceived conflicts
- Declare early using the organisation’s form
- Recuse from the decision when required
- Treat non-declaration as the usual failure mode
Modules you can expect
Structure may tighten when you localise from your own source pack in Kre8AI — this is the shape of the library title.
- 1Three kinds of conflict
Actual, potential, perceived.
- 2Where they hide
Hiring, suppliers, grading, side hustles.
- 3Declare and recuse
The form is the control.
- 4If you manage people
Don’t wait for the annual round.
- 5Knowledge check
Short scored assessment.
Short scored assessment. Form fields stay generic. Do not publish anyone’s real declaration in examples.
Written for the workplace, not for the statute book alone
Conflict training fails when it only talks about directors. Most undeclared conflicts are a cousin’s catering company or a relationship in the reporting line. This course is recognition, declaration, recusal.
Perceived conflicts are named so people stop saying “but I would never”. Managers learn that waiting for the annual declaration round is how procurement scandals age.
Pair with gifts, MFMA (for municipal staff), and ethics. Generate from your policy and form in Kre8AI so the system name is real. Export as SCORM or HTML.
Keep examples fictional. Re-export when the declaration form or related-party definition changes.
Assign at induction and to anyone who joins a bid committee or hiring panel. Short on purpose.
Play the library demo, or generate conflicts-of-interest awareness from your declaration pack in Kre8AI.
What you would upload in Kre8AI
Conflict of interest policy, declaration form
- Your conflict-of-interest policy and declaration form
- OECD conflict-of-interest public toolkit excerpts
- Companies Act / public-service rules at a high level where relevant
Formats, coach and provenance
- Standalone HTML to play in the browser; SCORM 2004 for your LMS.
- Optional AI course coach on Growth and Scale — grounded in approved material; off on quizzes and final assessment by default. Course plays offline; coach needs a network.
- Built in Kre8AI and reviewed before we published it. Not a substitute for your organisation's own policy — review before you make it mandatory.

Same course, SCORM 2004. Load it to settle the tracking question — and keep it as a course your people can take after you review it.
